London is home to some of the most influential and recognisable accents in the English-speaking world. But there is no single "London accent." In this workshop, we'll explore the spectrum of speech that exists across the city - from the working-class roots of Cockney to the dynamic, multicultural influences that have shaped MLE.
Working live allows for real-time adjustment, exploration, and a more embodied understanding of the accent.

Rhythm, melody, and placement
Nuance and variation
Moving from generalised → specific choices
Applying the accent to text and performance
What You’ll Leave With
A clearer, more specific understanding of London accent patterns
Workshop recording and materials - and tools to continue developing the accent independently
Greater confidence bringing the accent into auditions and performance
An embodied London accent
